Summer is almost over, but the fishing sure isn’t

Walleye fishing continues to be good as we’ve transitioned to crank baits. We’re pulling cranks in 25-28 feet of water for bigger fish. And we’re still getting good numbers caught a little shallower on spinners and crawlers.

Muskie fishing is always good in this part of the lake, but this time of the year it’s all about timing…early morning and late evening have been producing the best bites on top water. A lot of big pike are being caught on crank baits and spoons. Smallmouth bass are being caught off deeper reefs. As fall starts to creep up on us, the fishing is just going to get better. Water temperatures will cool and the fish will become more active.

While we have plenty of open water fishing left, we are in the process of getting ready for ice season. We’re prepping the bombers and fish houses in preparation for an awesome ice season. We’re now accepting ice reservations!

As always, we like to share a few photos of some recent catches…
