We’re into one of the best times of the year to fish the Northwest Angle!
Walleye fishing across the border has been phenomenal. We’re doing the best in 17-22 feet of water. The hot tactics and baits have been jigs, frozen shiners, crawler harnesses, and puppet minnows. And walleyes aren’t the only thing biting…we’re catching jumbo perch and crappies using these same methods. We even had a lake sturgeon caught recently. Lake of the Woods is famous for multi-specie fishing…you never know what you’re going to catch!
The muskie fishing in the Northwest Angle is always good, but the fall bite is a great time for fast and furious muskie action. With temperatures dropping they are getting more active. We will continue to put some 50-plus inch fish in the boats!
